I was born and raised a couple miles from the banks of the James. So it's no surprise that fishing became a big part of my life. For over 35 years I have logged thousands of hours and miles in pursuit of James River smallmouth.
I took up fly fishing in my teens, got serious about fly tying in my late twenty's. Spend a day with me and you will see I have a special passion for fly fishing. Having fished the James my whole life I know that at times you have to go with spin gear to get results. Be it fly or spin you can rely on me to know whats happening on the river. I'll provide the hottest flies and lures that the smallies want.
My craft of choice is a self-bailing whitewater raft set up for your fishing pleasure. Two fishermen can comfortably fish (fly or spin) all day. My motto - I row - You throw, provides you with water shared only with your partner.
My season begins in March and runs through October.
